Mountains or beach? Getting myself back into shape is an ass-kicker. Who would've thought sitting on the couch from August through December would affect my running ability? Pair that with lifting weights again for the first time since 2019, and you can see why I'm feeling so blasted! Warning: tucked between the fun, vacationy slides of this deck is a short clip of a beached whale. A freaking BEACHED WHALE. Viewer discretion is advised for gore. Five years ago, @wanderingneesh and I hiked the Skyline-to-the-Sea trail in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The trail is about 30 miles long, starting at Castle Rock State Park, trekking through the old growth of Big Basin State Park, and finishing at the Pacific Ocean. We hiked it in two nights and three days, celebrating New Year's among the redwoods. Feeling grateful for all of the love and opportunity that came my way in 2022. May 2023 be joyous and fulfilling for you! 2022. What a freaking year. Happy Winter Solstice, from these furry beasts to you. 9/27/22: Another gratuitous mountain photo ft. Spray Falls. We knew we wanted a cat with personality. It was important we met each kitten and got a sense of their needs and characteristics. Nova, or as she was known then, Maraschino Cherry, was a connection at first sight.
